Trump gearing up for ‘thank you’ tour to battleground states

Donald Trump will be kicking-off a ‘thank you” tour to battleground states later this week.

The president-elect’s first stop will be at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio, Thursday at 7 pm.

Vice President-elect Mike Pence will be joining Trump at the rally.

The second event is tentatively scheduled for Des Moines, Iowa.

Trump has credited his enthusiastic rallies as a key to his victory over Hillary Clinton.

The events typically drew thousands and were broadcast on cable news networks.

The Buckeye State was key to winning the presidency for Trump — a state President Obama won twice, first in 2008 and later in his reelection bid in 2012.

It’s also the home state of The Ohio State University, where terrorist Abdul Razak Ali Artan drove his car into a crowd and began stabbing people Monday.

Artan was killed by campus police officer Alan Horujko nearly immediately.
